Gifts of Love
Another way to help the London Humane Society is to remember
the homeless animals at our shelter by giving what we like to call a "Gift of
Love". Listed below are several of the most popular ways our supporters
have used to help us help our animals find the loving homes they deserve.

Adopt-A-Pet Ads
Every Friday in the London Free Press classified section, the
London Humane Society Adopt a Pet Ads are featured. A picture really is worth
a thousand words. The ads are a wonderful way to help an animal find a loving
home. Please contact us for information on the cost of sponsoring an ad.
The London Humane Society receives no government funding at any level. That
is why your support is so important to our animal welfare work.

Cage Sponsorships
You can sponsor an animal cage of varying sizes for anywhere from 6 months to a year. Sponsorship costs depend on size of cage and length of time. When you choose to support a homeless animal in this way, a card will be placed on its cage with your name or, if you prefer, your own companion animal’s name as the sponsor. It is also possible to purchase an animal cage and have a permanent plaque acknowledging your gift placed on the cage. Again, costs vary depending of the size of the cage.

All Occasion Gift Letters
You can make a donation to help our animals in memory of a person or an animal, in recognition of a birthday, a wedding, anniversary, graduation or retirement, to congratulate a new pet owner on a recent adoption, to commend a dog on successfully completing obedience training, in honour of someone special, or for any special occasion at all. We acknowledge these gifts of love by sending a letter to recipients telling them of your thoughtful contribution to the work of the London Humane Society. Not only does your gift help the many homeless animals living at the shelter, but we are often told the letters we send are highly cherished by their recipients.
'Tis the Season/Christmas Gift of Love
We know it’s not really ‘the season’, but ‘tis the season to be thinking about the season! The Christmas season is not that far away, and we have a great way to help you with the difficult decision of finding a gift for a favoured someone on your list. And best of all, you can help unwanted and abused animals at the same time. These charitable gifts are great for both your human and animal friends. We will acknowledge your seasonal ‘gift of love’ by sending a card to recipients telling them of your thoughtful contribution to the work of the London Humane Society, and wishing them a holiday filled with joy.
United Way Donor Choice Program
More and more people have been making use of the Donor Choice Program available through the United Way. We would encourage you to think of the London Humane Society and the many distressed animals in our care when contributing to the United Way campaign this year. At the same time, you might also want to remind your friends and colleagues of the availability of the program when they consider a contribution to United Way... And to those of you who have supported us in this way in the past, we thank you.
How to Arrange a "Gift of Love"
To arrange for a letter or card to be sent to a special person or animal, we ask that you provide us with specific details, including your name and phone number, the name and full address of the recipient, along with details of the occasion you wish to acknowledge.
Orders may be faxed to 519-451-8995, sent in by e-mail, called in to 519-451-0630 ext. 231, mailed to 624 Clarke Road, London ON N5V 3K5, or you can stop by and give us the details in person, then have a visit with the wonderful animals who are temporarily calling the shelter their home.
